Aside from acting she got her first role as a lead in the comedy film of 2003 that starred teen actors Love Don't Cost a Dime. The film she was in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past starring Jennifer Garner. She took an unplanned break from music to make Bring It On: Fight to the Finish. Milian focused her returning to the music business on the promotion of her debut track Us Against the World. She also shot the video. In the years since, Milian said that she became a little bit more meticulous about what was she believed to be worthy to be on the album. She also began to record.
