Annette Funicello is an American performer and actress. She is best known for her role as one of the original "Mouseketeers" in the show 'Mickey Mouse Club.' She began singing in her teens and became famous for her hit song "Tall Paul" as well as "Pineapple Princess." Annette was born in Utica to Italian parents. When she was a kid, she had a lot of shyness. In her quest to achieve success in her career as an entertainer, Annette began acting as well as dancing. In the mid-1950s, she was featured in a number of Disney sketches in the role of one of the "Mouseketeers" which earned her significant fame. Annette changed her Disney image as her age increased and she began to take the stage in adult characters. The most recognizable role she played was as the pioneer in the concept of a beach party. Her appearances in movies included as 'How to stuff a wild bikini,' 'Pajama Party,' and 'Beach Party.' Annette was recording music from time-to-time.
